Short animated film.
“Cases”, houses in English, is an animated short film that explores feeling at home in more than one place. The story showcases the emotional journey of creating a new home and the challenges that come with it. By using a simple style, the viewer can interpret it in different ways and bring it to their own experiences. The film also experiments with mixed media, using marker textures to bring a more physical look to it.
This is my graduation short film for the Master's in Animation at the Avans University of Applied Sciences. With this short film, I had the opportunity to explore a topic that is very close to my heart, as well as expand my knowledge of it. Furthermore, I explored how to communicate a message using the fewest possible elements without losing its essence.
